Privacy policy
Last updated: 08/06/2026
1. Data controller
The Equigest TREC app is published by Nicolas Retzlaff, creator and owner of Equigest. For any question about this privacy policy, you can write to: web@equigest.eu.
2. Purpose of the app
Equigest TREC allows authorized judges and organizers to enter, view and synchronize TREC competition results: POR, MA and PTV. The app works with a jury code provided by the competition organizer.
3. Data collected or processed
The app may process the following data, depending on the competition and the rights of the jury code used:
- jury code and authorized access type;
- technical identifier of the device used for synchronization;
- competition name, location, dates, classes and schedules;
- bibs, rider names, horse names, teams or duos;
- entered results: PTV scores, times, penalties, NP/EL statuses, POR and MA data;
- technical synchronization logs: date, time, action performed, accepted, rejected or conflicting fields.
The app does not collect precise geolocation data, contains no advertising and does not sell data to third parties.
4. Use of data
Data is used only to:
- identify the access rights of the judge or organizer;
- download useful competition information into the app;
- allow offline entry of results;
- synchronize results with the Equigest TREC platform;
- avoid entry conflicts between several devices;
- ensure technical monitoring and synchronization security.
5. Local offline storage
To allow offline entry, some competition data and entered results may be stored locally on the device. This data is used only by the Equigest TREC app and is synchronized with the server when the user starts a synchronization.
6. Synchronization and security
Exchanges between the app and the Equigest TREC platform are made via HTTPS. Synchronization uses a jury code and a temporary token to limit access to authorized competitions and classes only.
7. Data sharing
Competition data is accessible only to authorized people on the Equigest TREC platform: organizers, administrators and judges with valid access. Data is not sold or used for advertising purposes.
8. Data retention
Data is kept for the time needed to manage the competition, publish results, meet organizer control needs and operate the Equigest TREC platform normally. Synchronization logs may be kept to diagnose errors and secure result entry.
9. User rights
People concerned may request access, correction or deletion of their data when applicable. Any request can be sent to: web@equigest.eu.
10. Intended audience
The app is intended for judges, organizers and authorized people in the context of TREC competitions. It is not intended for children or general public entertainment use.
11. Changes
This privacy policy may be updated to reflect changes in the app, the Equigest TREC platform or applicable legal obligations.
